Parents are asked to co-operate with the school in encouraging the wearing of the school uniform.
In Granton we take pride in wearing our school uniform and encourage children to be proud of their identity. Wearing a school uniform contributes to a positive school ethos and helps to avoid discrimination and reduces peer pressure to wear expensive designer clothing.
Our uniform consists of:
- school tie
- white shirt
- grey or black skirt/pinafore
- grey or black school trousers
- grey or black cardigan
- school sweatshirt (black or grey/ P7 blue sweatshirt, Nursery red sweatshirt)
- white school polo shirt
- black fleece jackets
- black waterproof jackets
- checked summer dresses
- sensible dark school shoes
The appropriate clothing and footwear for P.E. is a t-shirt, shorts and gym shoes with non-marking soles. These are necessary for health and safety reasons and your co-operation is requested to ensure that pupils are equipped to participate in P.E. lessons.
House t-shirts in the four house colours can also be purchased from the school office. These can be worn for P.E. and school sporting events.
